Hight-Gain Circularly Polarized Multilayer Dielectric Resonator Antenna For Millimeter-Wave Application

摘要
In this paper, a compact, wideband, high gain, and circularly polarized antenna design is proposed for underground communications systems at the millimeter-wave band. Simulation results shows that the antenna design covers the ISM band achieving an impedance bandwidth (S11<-10 dB) from 58 GHz to 68 GHz while delivering a high gain of 11.4dBi and an axial-ratio bandwidth (AR < 3 dB) of 37 % of the operating band. Two different electromagnetic simulators (CST Microwave Studio and Ansoft (HFSS) are used in the simulation process.
