Synthesis and characterisation of ring-substituted POCOP halide complexes of group 10 metals

The synthesis and full characterisation of a series of ring-substituted tBuPOCOPtBu halide complexes of group 10 metals [3,5-R2(tBuPOCOPtBu)MX] (3,5-R2(tBuPOCOPtBu)=κ3-C5HR2-2,6-(OPtBu2)2 with R=tBu, COOMe; X=Cl, I; M=Ni, Pd, Pt) are described. The structure of all complexes was confirmed by X-ray crystal structure analysis. DFT analysis was performed to evaluate the electronic influence of the tBu and COOMe substituents.
