摘要

•N uptake and remobilization was studied in adult field-grown orange trees using 15N.•Trees absorbed 30% of the N supplied with the fertilizer.•50% of the N absorbed by trees in one vegetative season derived from the fertilizer.•Newly absorbed N is preferentially allocated to new growth.•N remobilized in spring substantially contribute to new growth.
