Formation of graphene-related organic films using pentacene molecules, H-2 gas and a heated W mesh supported Ni (W-Ni mesh) was investigated. The W-Ni mesh was used as a catalyst to enhance the decomposition reaction of the pentacene molecules. The decomposition temperature of pentacene molecules for the W-Ni mesh was lower than that for the W mesh. The organic films prepared by W-Ni mesh were different film property with that by W mesh. In addition, these organic film had an absorption peak similar to graphene around 270 nm. It is considered that the W-Ni mesh is expected as the catalyst to form the graphene-related organic films.
