In 2 S 3 modified ZnO nanorod arrays for photoelectrochemical water splitting

摘要
In 2 S 3 quantum dot coated ZnO nanorod arrays have been synthesized via two step method. ZnO nanorod arrays were prepared by a facile and low-cost hydrothermal process, and In 2 S 3 were deposited on the nanorods by a successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction technique. The structure, morphology, and optical properties of the In 2 S 3 /ZnO nanorod arrays are investigated. The photoelectorchemical measurements showed that the In 2 S 3 /ZnO nanorod arrays offered enhanced photocurrent density. Electrochemical impedance was also investigated in detail.
