Rapid Install Sar: Using Available Aircraft For Short-Term, High-Yield Data Collects

Large volumes of high-quality SAR data can be collected quickly and inexpensively using aircraft that are leased or available for only a few days. This paper profiles three separate SAR research experiments sponsored by universities and flown on leased aircraft where the ARTEMIS SlimSAR system was installed in less than a day and the experimental collections conducted over a short period of time. Each experiment required advanced SAR applications such as interferometry, polarimetry, and multiple-frequency-band operation. Quick-look imagery was generated during the collection period, with advanced processing done during the weeks that followed each experiment
