Electro-hydraulic pump (EHP) is a highly integrated combination of electric motor and hydraulic pump, integrating hydraulic technology, electric motor technology, control technology, etc. It has the advantage of smaller size, lower weight, better heat elimination and higher efficiency. This paper introduces the structure and the working principle of the axial plunger EHP, and then analyzes the power bond graph. The structure model of electromagnetism, mechanics, swash plate and plunger, load and volume of each part of the EHP was built. Then through the AMESim software, the simulation model of the electro-hydraulic pump was built. Finally the flow characteristic of the electro-hydraulic pump was analyzed.
