摘要
As the low power requirement in the various wearable IoT applications increases, it is essential to design and implement the low power SoC (System-on-a-Chip) with power efficient bio-signal processor which has high SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) performance. Among the various wearable IoT applications, especially, the brain-computer interface (BCI) is a promising technology which uses brain wave to control external devices or. transmitting the intentions of user. This paper presents the low power SoC for BCI application which has bio-signal processor and IEEE 802.15.4 digital baseband modem. The power reduction of overall SoC is managed by power management unit (PMU) with power gating technology on the three power domains. The proposed digital SoC was fabricated in Samsung CMOS 65 nm process with 38 MHz operating frequency on 1.2 V core voltage and occupies core area of 8.4 mm(2).
