摘要
e22030 Background: Peritoneal metastasis (PM) presents with relative frequency in gastrointestinal malignancies (GIM). Patients with PM are challenging due to frequent symptoms, refractory response to therapy, and worse prognosis compared to hematogenous metastasis. One opportunity to improve therapy is characterization of the mutations associated with PM. We analyzed mutations in PM in appendix (mucinous u0026 non-mucinous), colorectal, and small bowel malignancies to determine if there were mutations critical to PM. Methods: DNA was extracted from 27 paraffin embedded tissues of PM. It was sequenced using the Ion Ampliseq HotSpot Cancer Panel used for multiplexed target enrichment and amplification of 50 specific genes. Next generation sequencing was performed on the Ion Torrent Personal Genome Machine. Data analysis was performed using the Ion Torrent Variant Caller Software v.4.0, NextGENeSoftware and the Integrated Genomics Viewer. Results: Non-synonymous single nucleotide variations (SNVs) were identifi...
