•L. cremoris FC produced phosphorylated exopolysaccharides (EPS).•The EPS consisted of rhamnose, galactose and glucose in a molar ratio of 1:1:3.•Oral administration of EPS suppressed dermatitis in allergy model mice.•The EPS showed intestinal immunological activity through Peyer’s patch cells.
