Pathways To Wellness: Exploring Muslim Mental Health Promotion In The Digital Age

Social work and allied fields are in constant search for novel approaches to reduce mental health disparities and promote mental wellness. Promotion of mental health through social networking sites may be an innovative approach to reduce disparities, especially for marginalized populations. In the current sociopolitical climate, American Muslims face increased levels of discrimination, which is associated with poor mental health. This study explores the use of social networking sites for mental health promotion by organizations serving American Muslims and provides recommendations for effective population level mental health promotion.
