摘要
1561 Background: There is now compelling evidence of a genetic foundation for patient-reported quality of life (QOL) domains. This work reports the results of a systematic review of thebiological pathways, candidate genes and molecular markers involved in fatigue, pain, negative (depressed mood) and positive (well-being/happiness) emotional functioning, social functioning, and overall QOL. Methods: We followed a purposeful search algorithm of existing literature to capture empirical papers investigating the relationship between biological pathways and molecular markers and the identified QOL domains. We conducted a computerized literature search on PubMed for the years November 2007- November 2012 to build on our previous work (Sprangers, QOLR, 2009). A gene or molecular marker was included if there is at least one publication (either empirical, meta-analysis or review) reporting a significant association with a QOL domain. Results: More than 200 articles were identified and reviewed. Multiple major biolo...
