Micro/meso simulation of a fluidized bed in a homogeneous bubbling regime

摘要
•We perform Particle-resolved and meso-scale Euler/Lagrange simulations of a homogeneous bubbling uidized bed.•Direct comparison of the two datasets based on particles statistics reveals weaknesses of the meso-scale model.•Transverse particles motion is underpredicted by the meso-scale model.•Magnus and Saffman effects are not responsible for this underprediction.•Filtering kernel and stochastic drag are key features of meso-scale models to recover the correct level of particles fluctuations.
