Parameter estimation for nonlinear analysis of multi-perforated concrete masonry walls

•Parameters for nonlinear analysis of masonry structures were investigated.•The experimental program included tests in tension, shear and compression.•Mode I and mode II fracture energies are estimated.•Mode II fracture energy decreased linearly with the confining stress.•A linear yield surface can be used to represent the compression cap failure surface.
