摘要
Introduction: Subcutaneous fat necrosis is a rare transient disorder of adipose tissue mostly affecting term or post-term newborns with perinatal complications. Case report: Full-term neonate, large for gestational age, with a complicated vaginal birth, requiring resuscitation. Skin lesions compatible with NGTS, which resolved without complications, were noted at 13 days of life. Discussion: We report a case of subcutaneous fat necrosis with a benign evolution, just to remind this uncommon entity. The pathogenesis is poorly understood and although it tends to resolve spontaneously, an eventful associated hypercalcaemia u003emay have a fatal outcome.
