Oxidised compounds in aviation fuels using Nafion fibre solid phase microextraction

•Nafion SPME fibres were compared with a commercial alternative polar fibre.•Both were applied to analysis of oxidised compounds in alternate and conventional aviation fuels.•Nafion fibres provided improved extraction amounts for most of the polar analytes tested.•MDGC was used to improve resolution and tentative identification of oxidised compounds.
