摘要
This work describes the characterization of wireless signals received by a mobile device undergoing on-axis rotation in a non-line of sight indoor environment. The rotational motion of the mobile device corresponds directly to the pitch or roll of the embedded antenna, which is incorporated into the simulation model by varying the polarization sensitivity. The signals arriving at the mobile device antenna are assumed from the indoor non-line of sight environment using Saleh and Valenzuela model. The magnitudes of the received signals after the rotational motion are characterized from fitting the Probability Density Function (PDF) supported by Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) goodness of fit test. Furthermore, the second order statistical characteristic of the received signal namely Level Crossing Rate (LCR) and Average Fade Duration (AFD) are compared to selected distributions from the KS test. Results show that Weibull distribution best describes the impairment caused by the on-axis rotation to the received signal.
