Structural and magnetic properties evolution study method using a single ribbon-shaped sample

•A new kind of heat treatment for study the structural evolution is presented.•The structural evolution process can be meticulously scanned.•Thousand room temperature experimental points are obtained in a short time-period.•Varying first the annealing time and then the annealing current.•Can be adapted for the determination of other properties in non-magnetic alloys.
