摘要
•SmOPG1 is a protein identified by yeast two-hybrid library screening as binding partner of SmTK6.•SmOPG1 interacts with the SH2 domain of SmTK6 in a phosphorylation-independent way.•With respect to its structure and binding behavior, SmOPG1 seems to be a novel mucin-like protein.•SmOPG1 is expressed in the gonads of adult S. mansoni and co-localizes with SmTK6 in the ovary.•Knocking-down SmOPG1 caused oocyte mislocalization within the ovary.
