Abnormalities in cortical auditory responses in children with central auditory processing disorder

•Different patterns of cortical auditory responses were obtained in two groups.•The most significant differences between the groups were related to N2 responses.•Type of stimuli influenced the latency and the amplitude of the cortical responses.
