The control group received an intra-cavernosal injection of 1 ml of saline 0.9%. Assessment for both groups was done by penile colour Doppler study and the erection hardness score (EHS); at baseline and 2 weeks after treatment respectively; in addition to the Sexual Health Inventory for men (SHIM) questionnaire and the Sexual Encounter Profile questions 1 and 2 (SEP 2 & SEP 3) at baseline and 4 weeks after treatment respectively.
