摘要
Objective: Determine lung cancer patients9 post-lobectomy functional evolution, measured by FEV 1 , and group comparison based on obstruction9s severity over a 3-year period. Methods: Observational study of consecutive lung cancer patients who underwent lobectomy from 2007 to 2013. FEV 1 absolute figures and percentages were used to determine baseline functional evolution (one month before surgery), at year 1, 2 and 3 after the procedure. COPD severity was classified according to the GOLD initiative, and the one-way ANOVA test was used to compare anual functional evolution. Results: A total of 234 patients were included, 187 men (79.9%), mean age 64±9 years. Spirometric evolution is presented in Table 1. Conclusions: A significant decline of FEV 1 could be found in no COPD or mild COPD patients 1 year after lobectomy, although the moderate COPD group presented a persistent decline over the 3 years of study. By year 3, FEV 1 decline in the three groups did not present significant differences.
