摘要
•Thiazole-based probe 1 for sensing Ga3+ was synthesized.•Ga3+ ions “switched on” the emission of probe 1.•In situ generated 1-Ga3+ ensemble detected HP2O73–ions sequentially through “switch off” response.•Fluorescence mechanism of 1 explained by inhibition of ESIPT and CHEF due to binding with Ga3+.
