This paper compares the bit error rate (BER) performance of two relaying architectures with UWB Body Network channels, namely the hybrid decode-amplify-and-forward (HDAF) and the decode-and-forward (DF) protocols. It is assumed that CM3 on-body channel model is used for the communication between the source and the relay, and off-body channel model referred as CM4 for the source-destination, and the relay-destination communications. The result shows the superiority of the proposed HDAF strategy in UWB body networks regardless of adopted modulation pattern and the SNR range.
