117. Cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for the treatment of peritoneal surface malignancies in the elderly

Background: Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) is commonly used for the treatment of intraperitoneal malignancies. Most patients treated are young as they can cope with the physiologic stress of the radical surgery combined with intra-operative heated chemotherapy. Our study aim is to compare early post-operative outcome of patients older and younger than 65 years of age.
