摘要
This paper presents test results from various typical residential loads available in the U.S. market, televisions and microwave ovens. The tests were performed at California State University in Long Beach in its High Power Laboratory. First, it will provide an introduction of one of the test procedures used during this test. Additionally, this paper will present the detail performance of these loads during a ramp-down and ramp-up voltage profile. This test profile is the most important because it provide the performance of these loads at different voltages during one test. Finally, it will provide recommendations on the performance of these devices so that they could support or at least do not harm grid stability especially during system events. This paper information is valuable to develop, test, and validate computer models use for system impact studies by utilities planners and/or researchers.
