摘要
Method: The clinical status of CF children was evaluated with the modified Shwachman–Kulczycki score (mSKS). The all caregivers of CF children were evaluated with the Beck Depression Scale (BDS) and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). It was investigated the association between the clinical score of CF patients and the depression and burnout of their mothers. Results: In this study, 28 children with CF and their mothers were recruited. The mean age of children were 79.9±9.9 months and mothers were 35.59±1.45 years. The mean clinical score of children were 73.75±3.5. Among 67.9% of the mothers had depression. The mean of the BDS score was 13.32±1.27. When the CF children clinical score was low, the depression score of mothers greatly increased (p u003c 0.001). It was shown that the high depression score of mothers were related with high emotional burnout and high insensitivity score. When the children frequently were admitted to the patient clinic, the inadequacy feeling of the mother’s increased (p u003c 0.01). In this study it is found that the statistical significancy between the low clinical score of CF children and high score of mothers BDS (p u003c 0.001). Discussion: This is the first study to assess the relation of symptoms of depression and burnout in parents of childrens with CF with the BDI and MBI. Elevated rate of depression and burnout affects the clinical score of children with CF. The symptoms for depression and burnout of mothers should be screened and these mothers should be supported.
