Numerical solution of the static beam problem by Bernoulli collocation method

•We use Bernoulli polynomial approximation to reduce the problem to a finite dimensional system.•We provide an iterative process to solve this system together with a collocation method.•Numerical experiments verify that our numerical method has high accuracy and efficiency.
