摘要
A new copper(II) complex of imidazole (Imz), [Cu(Imidazole)(4)](I-3)(2) (1), was prepared and its structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. The structure of [Cu(Imidazole)(4)](I-3)(2) (1) is ionic and consists of [Cu (Imidazole)(4)](2+) cationic units, and triiodide counter ions. In 1, the copper atom is bound to four nitrogen atoms of Imz and assumes a nearly regular square planar geometry. Antimicrobial activities of 1 and three other complexes were evaluated by minimum inhibitory concentration and the results showed that the complexes exhibited significant activities against gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, P. aeruginosa).
