TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY FOR AMORPHOUS FeZrB ALLOYS

The electrical resistivity of amorphous (Fe_(1-x)Zr_x)_(84.5)B_(15.5) (X=0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.1 and 0.15) and Fe_(90-x)B_xZr_910) (X = 0, 4, 10, 16 and 20) alloys has been studied as a functiom of temperature in the range of 300 to ≈950 K. We find that, for the samples with X = 0.02 to X = 0.08, the curves of p(T)/p(300 K) vs T have two linear slopes and the turning point appears above curie temperature Tc. The temperature coefficients a_1 of the electrical resistivity at TTC decrease with the increase of Zr content. Above 8 at% Zr, p(T)/p(300 K)-T curves of the all samples show negative temperature coefficients and a minimum near T_c. Finally, the composition dependence of the minimum temperature T_(min) and the temperature co-efficients a of resistivity are discussed in brief.
