The Expression and Significance of NALP1 and IPAF of Synovial Obtained from Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective To investigate the significance of NALP1 and IPAF of synovial obtained from rheumatoid arthritis. Methods Test the NALP1 and IPAF protein expression by immunohistochemical in synovial. Choose 4 perspectives randomly, counter 100 cells in synovial intimal lining and the positive ones continuously, then the positive cell percentage has been calculated from their percentage. Results The expression of IPAF in synovial lining cells of RA samples was significantly higher than that of OA or Trauma(P0.05). NALP1 was expressed in RA samples only, while no expression in OA and Trauma samples(P0.05). Conclusion RA synovial tissue highly expresses IPAF and NALP1, and the expression of IPAF was significantly higher than that in OA and control,suggesting that IPAF and NALP1 maybe involved in RA chronic synovial inflammation process.
