Relationship between N,N-dimethylformamide exposure, PNPLA3, GCKR, COL13A1 and TM6SF2 genes, and liver injury.

•It is the first to analyze the interaction between the four SNPs and exposure to DMF on liver injury.•Exposure above the DMF threshold limit value significantly increased prevalence of liver injury.•The presence of GG genotypes (rs780094) was associated with increased risk of liver injury.•The interaction among the GCKR rs780094, DMF exposure and liver injury showed no significant association.
