摘要
•Novel hot water method was used to synthesize Hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles (HMSNs).•The prepared HMSNs have a high surface area with pore volume and uniform pore size.•HMSNs facilitated the high encapsulation of the BSC II drug Carvedilol (CAR).•The in vitro studies showed CAR-HMSNs exhibit sustained drug release performance.•Marked enhancement of oral bioavailability of CAR-HMSNs was observed in SD rats.
