Association of locomotive activity with sleep latency and cognitive function of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease in the maintenance phase of cardiac rehabilitation.

•The elderly patients with cardiac rehabilitation of maintenance phase performed 5506.8 steps/day.•Sleep latency and mini-mental state examination (MMSE) scores correlated with locomotive activity.•Locomotive activity was an independent predictor of sleep latency.•Six-min walking distance was an independent predictor of MMSE score.
