The Experiment and Performance Analysis of Multi-node UAV Ad Hoc Network Based on Swarm Tactics

The latest swarm tactics of UAV(unmanned aerial vehicle) have become a hot spot in the military field. It is widely concerned with its wide applicability and operability. However, the battlefield has high requirements for communication services, and the current research is still in the development stage. Therefore, this paper studies the network performance of the UAV swarm tactics. A multi-node and multi-hop Ad Hoc network was built to test and analyze the network response time, packet loss rate and network bandwidth capacity. We also change the transmission interval of the Hello and TC messages of the OLSR routing protocol to test the topology sensing changes of different protocol parameters. Lastly, we look forward to the future research of the UAV swarm tactics.
