摘要

•TLE patients presented higher leptin and lower adiponectin and resistin plasma levels in comparison with controls.•The levels of these adipokines correlated negatively with illness duration.•In a regression model, higher leptin and lower adiponectin levels remained as significant predictors of TLE diagnosis.
