Percutaneous sentinel node removal using a vacuum-assisted needle biopsy in women with breast cancer: a feasibility and acceptability study.

•Large gauge vacuum assisted removal of sentinel nodes using dual ultrasound and isotope guided scanning is feasible.•Preliminary sensitivity and specificity of the procedure are encouraging.•Post procedure axillary haematoma is common and may discourage widespread implementation.
