摘要
•A procedure for selective adsorption of flavor-active compounds is reported.•Batch uptake experimentation is applied and improved for multicomponent adsorption of flavor-active compounds which are volatile.•Adsorption experimental data are expressed with thermodynamic models and validated with column breakthrough analysis.•The regressed adsorption parameters from multicomponent thermodynamic models are used for selection of optimum resin for different criteria.•The optimum resin in each category is proposed to be applied for designing the adsorption process in the next stage.
