Chaperone-like protein HYPK and its interacting partners augment autophagy.

•HTT-interacting chaperone HYPK has 54 primary and 1026 secondary interactors.•Ten primary and 91 secondary HYPK-interactors potentially involved in autophagy.•HYPK augments expressions of autophagy markers in mouse straital cell lines.•HYPK recovers autophagy in HD condition induced by HTT exon1 with pathogenic polyQ.•Autophagy induction by HYPK might help to clear toxic misfolded HTT aggregates.
