Can we use neuroimaging data to differentiate between subgroups of children with ADHD symptoms: A proof of concept study using latent class analysis of brain activity.

•We identified distinct subgroups of children with ADHD-symptoms based on brain activity profiles.•These subgroups differed from each other on parent-rated attention problems and reward sensitivity.•The ADHD-subgroup with most difficulties in daily life, had less attenuated brain activity.
