Outcomes of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass versus sleeve gastrectomy in super-super-obese patients (BMI ≥60 kg/m 2 ): 6-year follow-up at a single university.

•SG and RYGB can be proposed as primary procedures for SSO patients.•At 4 years, there was no significant difference between procedures regarding EWL%.•At 6 years, SG group preserves a satisfactory rate of remissions or alleviated diabetes/hypertension.•We propose SG as the primary procedure and reserve RYGB as a revision option.
