摘要

•Intracerebroventricular infusion of Neuropeptide Y (NPY) reduced submissive behaviors in previously defeated Syrian hamsters.•Pretreatment with the NPY Y1 receptor antagonist BIBP 3226 did not restore the NPY induced reduction in submission.•We conclude that while NPY may impart resilience to stressful experiences, these effects are not mediated by the Y1 receptor.
