Childhood narcolepsy and autism spectrum disorders: four case reports.

•Asperger syndrome (AS) can be a further comorbidity of childhood narcolepsy type 1 (NT1).•Four cases of co-occurence of NT1 and AS are reported, suspicion of AS in three of them was raised alongside the presentation of narcolepsy.•We highlight the importance of psychological examination in childhood narcolepsy including evaluation of social competencies.
