Pregnancy course and outcomes in mosaic trisomy 16 confined to the placenta. A case series.

What's already known about this topic? T16 CPM is correlated with increased occurrence of intrauterine growth restriction. Feto‐maternal outcomes of T16 CPM have no predictable pattern, making pregnancy management challenging. What does this study add? Intrauterine growth restriction and very low PAPP‐A levels with or without first‐trimester risk <1/250 and, a fortiori, association with placental abnormalities should be indicators for chorionic villus sampling. Cases should be closely monitored with serial ultrasounds for fetal growth and Doppler flows, FHR and maternal arterial pressure.
