Using Three-Dimensional Printing to Create Individualized Cranial Nerve Models for Skull Base Tumor Surgery

•A 3D printed model of the sellar region and cerebellopontine angle permitted direct visualization of structures.•Functional MRI of optic chiasm and facial nerve helped guide the surgeon for surgical resection and cranial nerve protection.•Although 3D printed models in neurosurgery have been reported, these models lacked some details and practical significance.•3D printed models of skull base tumors and individualized cranial nerves have not been reported before.
