Breadth of coverage against a panel of 110 invasive disease isolates, immunogenicity and safety for 2 and 3 doses of an investigational MenABCWY vaccine in US adolescents - Results from a randomized, controlled, observer-blind phase II study.

•A combined MenABCWY vaccine provides broad protection against meningococcal disease.•Vaccine breadth of coverage (BoC) was tested against 110 randomly selected serogroup B strains.•BoC against the panel was 67% and 71%, 1 month post-dose 2 and 3, respectively.•BoC and persistence of the immune response was similar following either 2 or 3 doses.•The MenABCWY vaccine was immunogenic and no safety concerns were identified.
