Robust Estimation of the Apparent Diffusion Coefficient Invariant to Acquisition Noise and Physiological Motion.

•A methodology for ADC estimation robust towards noise and motion during acquisition is proposed.•Joint registration-estimation methodology has been extended by means of computationally light procedures in order to correct biases arising from the non-gaussianity of the data.•Developed simultaneous noise bias correction and motion compensation procedure has improved ADC estimation both in presence of stationary and spatially-variant noise.
