Purification and enrichment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in environmental water samples by column clean-up coupled with continuous flow single drop microextraction.

•A CCU-CF-SDME system was assembled for extraction of PAHs in environmental water samples.•The continuous flow extraction and enrichment were performed.•The purification, extraction and enrichment were carried out in one step.•The method can be applied to the analysis of environmental water samples.•No further filtration or cleanup was required before analysis by GC–MS.
