•DNA methylation (DNAm) changes are a powerful tool for age prediction.•DNAm of 13 blood age-dependent loci were investigated in other tissues.•Blood, bone, brain, buccal swabs and muscle from 29 individuals were analyzed by MPS.•Some markers are multi-tissue informative others are highly tissue-specific.
