摘要
•PBMCs from caregivers have increased proinflammatory gene expression levels when stimulated in vitro compared to controls.•These genes include NF-κB and many of its cytokine and chemokine targets.•PBMCs from caregivers showed increased Th17 differentiation and increased expression of COX-2 signaling pathway.•Inflammatory gene expression is associated with shorter telomere length prospectively.
